Logistics and preparations
Below you will find more information on the necessary preparations and some workshop logistics:
Workshop preparations
You will discuss your own research proposal in the four theme groups to which you have been allocated on your admission to EPIC. Each student will present their own project, which will subsequently be discussed by the whole group.
Presentations should not be longer than 10 minutes. For a productive workshop, you need to submit a proposal on which your presentation will be based. Your proposals should follow the guidelines, which you can download from the workshop materials section. Proposals should be no more than 3 pages.
Following the workshop, all workshop participants will rewrite their proposals according to the same guidelines, and incorporate any results from discussions that may be relevant for their proposal. Word limit is 1,500 words and proposals must include proper citations and bibliography.
All papers are published on this website.

To claim your travel expenses, once you have returned from the workshop you must send to Christoph Raatz the remainder of your original ticket (the last page; no boarding card slips) and a receipt from your travel agent for the purchase of your ticket. In addition, you will be asked to fill out an evaluation form of the workshop, after which we will process your claim.
Please note that EPIC will not cover any of the following costs:
- Any taxi fares or other expenses during the trip to / from Corfu airport;
- Travel between the international and domestic terminals at Athens airport;
- Incidental expenses for travel within Corfu other than the shuttle service provided between the hotel, airport and, on occasions, Corfu town;
- Any meals, snacks, drinks, refreshments other than those organised by EPIC;

All participants should arrange to arrive in Corfu on Wednesday, 23 May. There may be direct charter flights from some cities, e.g. London or Berlin. Otherwise, your flights will be via Athens.
You should book your return flight for Wednesday, 30.05. There will be a shuttle service for the airport for the Olympic Airways morning flight (this should be around 6:30 a.m.). Otherwise, you will have to arrange your own transfer to the airport.
