Travel and accommodation

Similar to the 2nd workshop, all participants are responsible to arrange their own travel to Florence. Please note that for any kind of reimbursement, relative tickets or receipts must be presented. Travel expenses will be reimbursed on the basis of:

  1. Tourist-class air fare (please note that the APEX tickets must include a Saturday night).
  2. First-class rail (an if journey includes at least six hours night travel between 10pm and 7am) sleeper up to two-bed class.
  3. Car on the basis of first class train ticket, excluding sleeper or any other supplement.

The EUI will cover accommodations for 4 nights from September 18 to September 22, on the basis of a double/triple room with breakfast.

All extras will have to be paid by the conference participants.

To avoid misunderstandings and waste of time, please read carefully the following information:

  • Please fill out the registration form completely, even if you already wrote your personal details at the last workshop

  • Please be reminded that single rooms will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. We have 14 single rooms. Therefore, in case we cannot accommodate you in a single room, we suggest that you indicate to us immediately the name of a preferred roommate. We will let you know immediately if you have been allocated to a single or double/triple room

  • You will all be in the same hotel, within walking distance from the EUI

  • If you plan NOT to come, please let us know as soon as you can

  • Bring all bank details with you - bank address, sort codes, and account name - It will make reimbursement faster!

  • If you are not able to photocopy your tickets in advance, please remember to bring them with you on the first day

  • If you DO NOT NEED accommodation, please write it on the registration form that must be returned anyway

  • All working rooms will be equipped with OHP. Should you need other kind of technical equipment, such as data projector, flip chart, etc. please let Elisabetta know well in advance (early September), or we may not be able to provide them.

Presentation aids

If you require any presentations aids, such as overhead projectors, etc. you must let the workshop organisers know well in advance.
